Ex CJ to file defamation suit against Imran Khan

GUJRAT: Former Chief Justice Supreme Court (SC) Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Saturday announced that he would soon file a defamation case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan.

Talking to newsmen here, former Chief Justice said he was not the one who had organized General Elections in 2013, adding that Chief Justice has nothing to do with the Returning Officers (ROs).

The former CJ said the politics was not an out-of-bound field for him and he would take his decision (about coming into politics) at an appropriate time.

“We introduced the Judicial Policy first time in the history of Pakistan with a view to deliver instant justice to the masses”, added he.

He said the government should fulfill the requirements for dispensation of justice.
